Lunar Eclipse 2020 in India will start at 10:37pm on January 10.

Lunar Eclipse is much more common as Solar Eclipse, There are three types of Lunar Eclipse (Total, partial, and penumbral). Where Penumbral Lunar eclipse are most common. Today four Penumbral lunar eclipse will take place. NASA named the term 'Wolf Moon Eclipse', and it will be visibled in India this time, and countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe will be able to see Lunar Eclipse. The total duration will be 4 hours and 5 minutes.

What and How

A lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon passes directly behind Earth and into its shadow.This can occur only when the sun, Earth, and Moon are exactly or very closely aligned with Earth between the other two. Lunar Eclipse occur only an the night of a full Moon.



Types

There are three type of Lunar eclipse they are "PENUMBRAL", "PARTIAL", and "TOTAL". A penumbra lunar eclipse occurs when the Moon falls in this penumbra region of Earth's shadow from sunlight. This is the common type of lunar eclipse and can occur several times a year.

Date and Time

The Lunar Eclipse of January 2020 will occur on January 10 (Friday). Indian time for Lunar Eclipse will be from 10:37pm IST to 2:42am IST on January 11.

Where to watch 

The lunar Eclipse will occur in India, and countries across Asia, Africa, and Europe will be able to see.

In lunar Eclipse no Special Glasses are used, It is safe at looking it with naked eye.
